Thanks for the link, DF. Considering how good the other two Spider-man movies were, this will have me drooling for the next 11 months. I wasn't a big fan of Venom in the comic, so I can't say them including that storyline really blows my skirt up, but I can't wait to see Thomas Hayden-Church as the Sandman. Really glad they brought him in as a villain.

I hope this movie is better than the other two. Even though i thought they were alright. Venom is one of my favorite villians of the Spider Man saga but i dont like that its Topher Grace playing him.

I think they're is going to be a seperate Venom movie, isn't there? I don't know, it's just what I heard. It would be cooler if he was in Superman 4, build him up and then branch off.
A character like Venom is just too sweet to NOT have his own movie. ;)

Here is a short clip from the 1977 Classic movie directed by John Landis and written by Jim Abrahams, David Zuker & Jerry Zuker (creators of Airplane).
It's a mock version of one of those early educations American science short films, it's about Zinc Oxide.

I watched this movie two weeks ago and I have to say it was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.
Sacha Cohen is a genius, when it comes to comedy. His characters remind me a lot of Andy Kaufman and the whole Tony Clifton thing. It's great!

SYNOPSIS
From writer/directors Larry and Andy Wachowski, the creators of the groundbreaking “The Matrix” trilogy, and producer Joel Silver comes the live-action, high-octane family adventure “Speed Racer.”
Hurtling down the track, careening around, over and through the competition, Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. His only real competition is the memory of the brother he idolized—the legendary Rex Racer—whose death in a race has left behind a legacy that Speed is driven to fulfill.
Speed is loyal to the family racing business, led by his father, Pops Racer (John Goodman), the designer of Speed’s thundering Mach 5. When Speed turns down a lucrative and tempting offer from Royalton Industries, he not only infuriates the company’s maniacal owner (Roger Allam) but uncovers a terrible secret—some of the biggest races are being fixed by a handful of ruthless moguls who manipulate the top drivers to boost profits. If Speed won’t drive for Royalton, Royalton will see to it that the Mach 5 never crosses another finish line.
The only way for Speed to save his family’s business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at his own game. With the support of his family and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci), Speed teams with his one-time rival—the mysterious Racer X (Matthew Fox)—to win the race that had taken his brother’s life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.
Slated for release on May 9, 2008, “Speed Racer” marks the Wachowski brothers’ first writing/directing collaboration since “The Matrix” movies. Joel Silver, who previously worked with the Wachowskis on “The Matrix” movies and “V For Vendetta,” is producing the film under his Silver Pictures banner.
The film stars Emile Hirsch (“Alpha Dog”) as Speed, Christina Ricci (“Black Snake Moan”) as Trixie, Matthew Fox (TV’s “Lost”) as Racer X, and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (“Dead Man Walking”) and John Goodman (“Evan Almighty”) as Mom and Pops Racer. Rounding out the main cast are Australian actor Kick Gurry (“Spartan”) as Sparky; Paulie Litt (TV’s “Hope & Faith”) as Spritle; Roger Allam (“The Queen,” “V For Vendetta”) as Royalton; and Asian music star Ji Hoon Jung (popularly known as Rain), making his major feature film debut as a rival driver.
Based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida, the live-action “Speed Racer” will showcase the kind of revolutionary visual effects and cutting-edge storytelling that have become the benchmarks of the Wachowski brothers’ films.
“Speed Racer” is a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, of a Silver Pictures Production.

First R-Rated Aliens vs Predator: Requiem Trailer
August 24, 2007
Source: IGN
by Alex Billington
Dare I mention this atrocity's name? Aliens vs Predator: Requiem is a sequel to that wretched movie from 2003, Alien vs Predator. The peculiar part though, is that this very first trailer is an R-rated red band trailer, meaning we've already got an excess of gorey R-rated footage. Part of what made the first one so bad was the PG-13 rating it got slapped with and the skimpy violence. And you know what, HOT DAMN this doesn't look half bad! The violence even in this trailer is just enough to get me excited, what about you?
Be warned - this trailer is VERY gruesome! I've got to say, that violence/killing montage of scenes at the end got me jumping in my chair! And thanks to IGN for serving us this fine trailer.
Watch the full trailer for Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/08/24/first-r-rated-aliens-vs-predator-requiem-trailer/)
Aliens vs Predator: Requiem is directed by brothers Colin Strause and Greg Strause, two highly experienced visual effects guys and first time directors. The film hits theaters everywhere on Christmas Day, December 25th.

Well on the downside, the first Alien vs. Predator was a complete abortion. On the plus side, Paul Anderson, the hack artist responsible for it (as well as the Resident Evil series and a whole bunch of other shit-stain movies), isn't directing this one. The preview actually looks fairly decent, but this is still one I'll wait for on DVD.

The Mist is one of Stephen King's best, and most disturbing, stories--it's about a supernatural mist that traps a bunch of people in a supermarket. The problem with the mist is that it's filled with all sorts of critters out of your worst imagination--giant spiders, tentacle monsters, slimy insects, etc. (apparently, the video game Half-Life is based on it). I read the story this summer (it's in the Skeleton Crew compilation), and it creeped me out like nothing I've ever read.
Anyway, Frank Darabont of the Shawshank Redemption fame, is directing the movie, which is due out next month. The first trailer wasn't anything that great, but this one is absolutely bitching.

And before anybody asks, King wrote this back in the '70s, before John Carpenter made the Fog, so no, it's not a ripoff. :D

Ah man they perverted it, of course. Let me guess hes the new cowboy who kills terrorists modelled on 47 style. I think he just did his job for good or bad to make money, thats all just to make a living at what he does best. I didn't even realize this movie was in production until last week when I saw a poster for it at the theater. It looks pretty cool--I like the way they update Ironman's origin from Vietnam to the Middle East--but I do wish they'd gone with the Mandarin as the villain as opposed to Obadiah Stane (played by, of all people, Jeff Bridges), but if it's a hit, maybe we'll get the Mandarin in a sequel. And you gotta love Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes. It hits theaters May 8th.

I'm not sure if anybody's been following this movie, but it's generating all kinds of internet buzz, partly because until just a few weeks ago it didn't have a name and was only called 1-18-08, it's release date. It's being produced by J.J. Abrams of Lost fame and could either be totally awesome of totally horrible. It looks like a combination of Godzilla and the Blair Witch Project, although nobody's sure if the whole movie is going to be shot on the cam corder like the preview is. Also, nobody knows what the monster looks like or if you'll even get a good look at it. There's all kinds of fan analysis of the trailers on YouTube, although the studio's done a great job of keeping a lid on all the secrets. If nothing else, the internet viral campaign has me kind of geeked up for it.

This was just a matter of time, since I think the plan all along was to do a Deadpool spin-off with Ryan Reynolds, which explains why he's not in the Wolverine movie all that much, even though he's a bigger name than most of the other actors who have bigger parts. And I guess you can't accuse Marvel of not having enough irons in the fire. Right now, they're working on: Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 2, the Avengers, Wolverine 2, Magneto, X-Men: the First Class (supposedly focusing on Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Beast), Deadpool, and Spiderman 4. And I'm sure I missed a few (don't know if the Ant Man movie directed by Edgar Wright is going ahead, and I've heard Guillermo Del Toro won't be making Doctor Strange, now that he's spending the next 2 or 3 years making the Hobbit).
Reynolds to star in 'X-Men' spinoff
Fox has begun development on 'Deadpool'

Deadpool is Wade Wilson (http://www.sputtergutter.net/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fjavascript%253Cb%2 53E%253C%2Fb%253E%3AzodInfuser.FillDescriptions%25 28%2527Wade%2520Wilson%2527%2529%3B), a mercenary who, dying of cancer, submits himself to the Weapon X genetic alteration experiment and emerges as an indestructible semi-sane anti-hero. Reynolds seemed destined to play the character. In one reference in the Marvel Comics, Deadpool is described as a mix between "a Shar Pei and Ryan Reynolds."
In one of the "Easter egg" endings of "Wolverine," (http://www.sputtergutter.net/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.variety.com%2F profiles%2FTVSeries%2Fmain%2F44043%2FCode%2520Name %253A%2520Wolverine.html%3FdataSet%3D1) Deadpool is seen rising from the rubble and whispering "Shhh" (http://www.sputtergutter.net/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.variety.com%2F profiles%2FFilm%2Fmain%2F169468%2FDead%2520Silence .html%3FdataSet%3D1) to audiences.

Fox is also in the formative stages of a "Wolverine" sequel that will encompass the samurai storyline that was hinted at as Wolverine sat in a bar in Japan as the film concluded (Daily Variety (http://www.sputtergutter.net/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fjavascript%253Cb%2 53E%253C%2Fb%253E%3AzodInfuser.FillDescriptions%25 28%2527Daily%2520Variety%2527%2529%3B), May 4).
Separately, Fox is developing "Magneto," a film about the X-Men villain with a script by Sheldon Turner, and "X-Men: First Class," which Josh Schwartz (http://www.sputtergutter.net/forums/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.variety.com%2F profiles%2Fpeople%2Fmain%2F35759%2FJosh%2520Schwar tz.html%3FdataSet%3D1) is penning.
