I heard that this wasn't the first time that he's gone off on a comedy club audience. It's just the first time that he's injected a rascist diatribe in it. Apparently, he decided to try stand up after failing at television and movies after Seinfeld and hasn't learned to handle hecklers.

Oh well, another guy we won't be hearing from ever again. The press will eat him alive for this. At least Mel Gibson's tirade was done while he was drunk, Kramer doesn't even have that excuse.

Apparently there was an anonymous article posted in a newspaper last year saying how this unnamed actor hates blacks. The description was something like a white actor who was part of a hugely popular long running sitcom who had his own show that tanked and his career was taking a nose dive. People now think that the article was from Richards or something.

We do not support or condone the inappropriate, hurtful and offensive comments that Mr. Richards made on Friday night at the Laugh Factory. Mr. Richards was scheduled to appear on Saturday night and had informed management of his intention to apologize for his hurtful and unprofessional outburst from the previous night. He failed to do so and disappointed us. We have made it clear that Mr. Richards is no longer welcomed here. The Laugh Factory is a comedy club not a forum for personal attacks.[10]

During a satellite appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman November 20, 2006, Richards apologized, saying, "For me to be at a comedy club and flip out and say this crap, I'm deeply, deeply sorry. I think the reason good people of all colors refuse to let this shit die is , people who are really cross-burners unlike Kramer , who probaly was off his meds , will use this as a platform to spout their racist crap and then apologise and say it's no big deal, just like in the Mel Gibson case , he apologized over and over , has he been re-accepted yet ?.........
