Wesley Snipes Said to Surrender in Fla.
Dec 8, 10:45 AM EST

The Associated Press

ORLANDO -- Wesley Snipes surrendered to authorities Friday on tax fraud charges, two months after he was indicted, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation.

Snipes flew into an Orlando airport on a private jet and voluntarily surrendered, said the official, who confirmed the arrest on the condition of anonymity because it hadn't been announced publicly. Snipes was to appear in federal court in Ocala on Friday morning, the official said.

Snipes was charged in October with fraudulently claiming refunds totaling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 on income taxes already paid. The star of the "Blade" trilogy and other films was also charged with failure to file returns from 1999 through 2004.

Al Capone couldn't even beat a tax violation!!!:013:

I'm with you, Wes...just keep your head on straight.

He didn't even file returns from 1999-2004? What an idiot! I mean how did he think he was going to get away with that? Wouldn't you think that someone at the IRS would happen to run across a Blade movie during that time, think to themselves that Mr. Snipes must have gotten paid, and then do a quick audit to see that a return was filed?

This is almost as bad as that moron Richard Hatch leaving off the $1,000,000.00 he won on Survivor 1 off that year's tax return. He is now in jail for that if I'm not mistaken.

Someone said: "You can't avoid two things in life: death and taxes..."

Well, not exactly in those words, but that´s the main idea!
