Depends on the type of BB.gun. Some that are the pump action i know can pierce skin quite easily. But i don't know of there other type.

I have heard that the pump action one's can leave huge welts for weeks if you pump it to the highest level

Can it kill a human being?Possible, but unlikely. A more effective method would be to pistol whip them with said bb gun to achive the desired results.

However, there are guns that shoot standard bb's as ammo, but I wouldn't consider them bb guns......... more like waving a copper coated steel wand that cuts almost anything. :013:

Yes a BB Gun could kill a human if you hit them in the jugular.

My aunt lost an eye when my uncle shot her in the face with one. They were teenagers when that happened.

They can cause even worse injuries if you use the hunting pellets with the sharp points on them.

-Treat all firearms (and air rifles) as deadly weapons and not toys.
-Know what is behind your target.
-Never shoot at an animal or person unless you mean to kill them.
-Never shoot anything straight into the air if you don't know where the projectile is going to land. (lots of people killed that way)

I had one as a kid and they were a lot of fun.

PS: Did you know that Lewis and Clark took air rifles with them for hunting when traveling on thier expedition across North America?
