Because deleting their accounts would not remove their usernames from their posts, just all their information associated with their account on the backend. Banned users do not appear anywhere else outside of their posts that have remained, so it's no real bother.

I guess that might be a big part of it, my PM's being off as to why users get all worried and shit. This has been brought up several times this past month. Just so everyone knows, the ONLY reason I turn them off is so that my Inbox doesn't get bombarded on a daily basis for simple little things. I want to enjoy the forums too without having that damned pop-up window going off every time I log in here, and it does if my PMs are on. If I turn the pop-up off, then I still got that flashing/spinning graphic going non-stop up in the corner. It's just a distraction is all. You guys can still get a hold of me through the Contact Us links all over the forums.
