Just wondering what your favorite Beer is? I live in :055: and my favorite domestic is Heineken (it's just too damn common to call an import). Although I love Guinness Extra Stout, I think my favorite is NEWCASTLE BROWN ALE.
Here is The Beer Song to help you think

My personal favourite beer is domestic (in Canada)
Sleemans Honey Brown Ale
I really shouldn't partake anymore, though :029:
I was at an Irish pub for lunch not too long ago and savoured a very nice Kilkenny. It was like there was a party in my mouth and only the cool people were invited, so just me then :p

I like IPAs (India Pale Ale). Bert Grant's IPA and Red Seal Ale are some of my favorites. I brew my own and 9 times out of 10 I'll brew something pretty hoppy like an IPA.

I live in the country where Heineken come from, but I don't like BEER. I get
a nasty taste in my mouth. I've tried it in very hot weather and a very cold
one but after a ? glass of it it went the wrong way. So I prefer red wine or

Domestically, I'd have to go with Shiner Bock, an old college favorite.
For imports, it's been a few years since I last had a John Courage, and damn I need one.
Also, when I was in Japan in '97 I had one glass of Suntory Black that was absolutely fantastic, and I've never been able to find it again.

If I had to pick one for the rest of my life and stick with it, it'd be a Guinness Draught.
Thankfully, I don't have to, so I love a lot of them. When I can afford it, I love to get the Belgian ales, like Chimay...but that's really rare. Some of the smaller domestic breweries, like Leinie and Sam Adams, are always nice. I've had quite a few micros, but not enough to really call myself a pro. Like Dogfish Head, like Goose Island, just to name a couple.

It would be hard to nail down just 1...but my latest favorite would have to be Boulevard Wheat. It has a very nice flavor.

I like Old Lager with a very sweet taste, and also beers from Belgium. But some are very strong! In France we have La Biere du Demon, which is also strong, like wine. Personally, I prefer when they are lighter.

Shock Top Raspberry Wheat. The man in me screams "BEER!", but it's really all about whether or not it offers something more than the taste of smashed ass in a bottle.

I usually like to drink Blue Moon, Killian's, or Yuengling. They have a little more flavor and bitterness than the average US beer. But this time of year I stock up on pumpkin ale. I can drink it by the gallon, regardless of brand. Well, except for Anheiser-Busch's version which has no pumpkin flavor.

Moosehead Lager. I used to work for a beer distributor when I was in high school. We sold all the imported beers and I've tried every one of them. I've got a six-pack of Moosehead in my frig as I write.

I would have to say the sour beers from Russian River Brewery (Consecration, Temptation, and Supplication) are amazing!
Pliny the Elder is a great way to start off before ending with the sour beers.

Sam Adams Octoberfest. I really enjoy all of their selections but Octoberfest is just seems to be a head above the rest. I always have to stock up with a few extra cases because it's only out for a couple of months. Mmmmm, think I'll grab one now ;)

I do enjoy the Sam Adam's seasonals too. My favorite is the Winter Lager and there is a cold case in the fridge as I type. One of my favorite American Brews was called Devil Mountain Five Malt Ale (brewery was in Cincinnati as I recall), but alas the brewery went out of business in the late 90s. I did however find the recipe on a beer website. I've never made home brew before so I may put that on my vacation to do list!
I also have very fond memories of Paulaner Salvator and attending the festival in Munich in Jan/Feb. Cold and snowy outside but thousands of people in the brewery and the 2 liters was about all I could handle without getting totally hammered. It is in the 9-10% range and I saw many a 20 year old and one guy who must have been in his 80s being carried to the drunk tank. I found out the next morning why you should ensure of bringing plenty of soft toilet paper though, as this beer will clean you out and the line in the dorms got pretty long. Of course the guy that invited me failed to share the shitting part of the fest. :stomp:

I must agree with post nr1. There is nothing like a draught Guinness, but together with food I prefer Newcastle. When it´s really hot, a Carlsberg sort guld is the best.

As for reason, found the taste amazing.

I most enjoy Blue Moon and Shiner Holiday Cheer. They both have a bit of something that really sets them apart from other beers in terms of flavor, but they still have that lovely ale taste.
