I dl'd 2 of the highres NDN1kk1 files and can not get them to play in my Quicktime Player 7.0.4. I'll either get a prompt saying that a neccessary quicktime file has not been installed or it the status bar for the vid will go across like its playing but will have no sound or picture.

Sorry that I am ignorant of macs or anything remotley related to them. Do they have codecs that need to get updated or downloaded? I clicked the continue button one of those errors and allit did was prompt to me download some thing for streaming, or convesion stuff but nothing that I would have though would be codecs to get them to play.

Yea, sounds like you need some codecs. I had a problem similar in DivX trying to play some .avi videos. I used a program called FFDSHOW - I don't know if it supports .mov but you can give it a shot.

EDIT: for got to say thanks to eveyone for your help. ok, I ended up getting all the free ones I thought "might" work which were: On2, Sheervideo, Ensharpen and CEI's Evo. Then I went ahead and upgraded then bought QuicktimePro. So here I am with 7.1 Pro which is nice cause I can play and convert my phone vids to other media types and I do no get any error messages with the ndn.mov's but they still have no audio or image as they play. lol. Am I hopeless?

You paid for Pro? If I had known , I would have given you a Pro serial :022: , I think only Mac users have access to 7.1.1 , regular QT only goes to 7.1 for windows , damned shame , they play in Realplayer Gold on my Mac .

I use Flip4mac , a plug-in that allows me to view WMVs, AVIs and such windows files so that maybe the prob when WMVs are converted to QT ( only way to save em , cannot DL :022: ) GOOD LUCK.........:075:

durcam, Thanks for the belated pro offer. I just dl'd realplayer too (did not buy) , but got the same blank image and no sound as it played so I guess I am going to chalk it up to a mac exclusive lol. I do appreciate your time.

PhoeniX27J: from what I read about VLC it did would not do .mov's

funny you mention that one. I just learned about that one about 2 hours ago and tried a few different players it came with. I am sure what all that thing came with but it certainly was a shit load. I am not sure if it came with qt pro or if it had a registration code or what but it prompted me to configure QT and it replaced the registration coded I just purchased. Anyway media classic player nor the bsplayer worked.
