My daughter is 13 months old and while playing on the carpet in the living room, got up and took her first steps. I was too stunned and she was squealing and heading straight for the dog (who was stunned too).

Her dad went crazy and bought her some cool looking baby sneakers in the mall. :D

Our daughter starting walking at about thirteen months also. It went very quickly from walking to running. She is now fifteen months and we can't keep up with her. She wears us old people out...

It all starts now. From now till she's about 5, if you don't have a leash on her you'll be running after her from time to time yourself . My daughter is 17 and I keep wishing she still needed me to carry her around. I got lucky, her first REAL gut bustin', spit flying laugh as well as learning how to walk, was on my weekends. Her mother was always a little jealous, but she did have her more than I did in the beginning, so I guess I got the quality times. Congrats Razormaid. Don't forget to take lots of pictures the just seem to grow up too fast.

When the kids start walking, your life changes forever!
You can't really keep the leash on them. You just try to keep all the breakables out of reach.
