Speed Question , UL and DL comparison

I'm bored , so I decided to check my speed on http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and I got this result


WTF ? 9000 Kbps ? That's insane , I didn't order that ( but I'm glad I got it :D ) .

The Question is if my DL is so high , why is my UL so low , is that normal ? TIA ????

Well, I got a download speed of 2286 kpbs and an upload speed of 963, which I think is a good balance. I don't know about yours, but you may want to ask your web provider about your connection speed (innocently of course ;) )

I think the installer forgot to "cap" my connection , I get free cable up to channel 100 , so I aint complaining , just wondered if there was a way to "tweak " my UL without getting the "Man" involved :) , thx for the response...........

Yeah, that's normal. It's that way because ten years ago, your TV had zero upstream bandwidth, and the companies providing internet service are trying to keep things more or less the same way. From their point of view, the only thing you need any upstream bandwidth for is to pick which movie/TV show/song/etc you want -- and of course for you to send them your credit card number.
