Thanks for the review, UD. I've been waiting for this one since I first heard about it, and as long as the snow lets up, I should be seeing it next week. I'm gonna have to drive an hour or so to the one theater in Cleveland that's showing it, but it sounds like it'll be worth it.

The best movie I have seen in a long, long time. Daniel Day-Lewis is a fucking tour de force. If he doesn't win an Oscar for this performance (he won the Golden Globe), I will be surprised.
This is a modern-day classic. If you are into film, you want to carve out a few hours in your favorite metroplex.

But this is one of those films that you want to see on the big screen. Like I said, it is a modern day classic and it looks like one too, the way it was shot.

Ok, just finished this for the first time. Some good one-liners and enough action i guess, but here's the deal. When I was all finished with the movie, I go to check out the Special Features section and see that there's an UNRATED edition. Isn't that what I just fucking watched?!?! I mean, I "rented" the Unrated version so what did I just see? How are the two versions different. Mother fucker! I remember hearing part of that yippie-kay-yay... but it was cut short or muffled. Damn, I'm pissed and now might have to watch this again tomorrow. Get this, the next movie I was sent is... Next, with Cage. So next, I'm gonna watch Next.

The Last Legion (2007)
Before King Arthur, there was Excalibur.
The untold beginning of the King Arthur legend.
The end of an empire...the beginning of a legend.
The Roman world is in the throes of death, but a new myth, destined to span the centuries, is waiting to be born.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0462396/
In essence, this is one of many versions of the Arthurian legend. King Arthur's story has its roots in Roman history and Celtic myth. This film tries to weave these elements together in a grand tale of betrayal and revenge set in the 5th century AD.
The cast includes Ben Kingsley ( 'Gandhi', 'Sexy Beast', too many other projects to list) , Kevin McKidd (HBO's 'Rome', and NBC's 'Journeyman', rumored to be playing 'Thor' in the upcoming Marvel screen project), and Aishwarya Rai (the Goddess of Bollywood).
The plot rambled a bit, as young Romulus [Thomas Sangster), the new Caesar, was abducted by Goths who sacked Rome, and must be rescued by loyal Roman soldiers led by general Aurelius (Colin Firth). Along the way, we learn of the splintering of the Empire, the collapse of the legions, and suffeirng and oppression on a grand scale.
There's a hokey love story between Mira (Aishwarya) and Aurelius (Colin Firth), a charming mentor/apprentice story with Merlin/Ambrosinus(Kingsley) and Romulus (Thomas Sangster).
There's some good action, and interesting locations. The film didn't quite grab you and shake you lke an epic sotry should have. However, it's not bad for an evening of viewing and a bag of Orville Redenbachers.
PPV is recommended, rather then DVD.
Aishwarya absolutely burned up the screen, though, as the warrior chick, Mira. It seemed like the makers of the film were utterly entranced by her, because she had the best scenes, and the longest close-ups in the film.:thewuv: And she had the best wardrobe, too.
I'd give it 6.5/10.

I just went to see this last night, and I've got to agree totally with UD (well, I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 rather than a 20, but still . . . ). This is one hell of a movie--totally original, uncompromising, and challenging, and is the kind of film that just doesn't get made anymore. It's absolutely amazing to look at, and the scope of the story is suitably epic and sweeping, even if it only really concerns a handful of characters, and of them, only three are particularly important.
As UD mentioned, Daniel Day-Lewis is simply phenomenal, giving the best performance I've seen in years--probably since, well, Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York. As far as I'm concerned, he's entered the domain of guys like Marlon Brando, Montgomery Clift and Spencer Tracy as one of the great actors in the history of the movies. He's obviously going to win the Best Actor Oscar in a landslide, and if he doesn't, they should just retire the award and whoever gets it should frankly refuse it. I really liked the other performances, too. Paul Dano is very good as the young preacher and Kevin O'Connor, who usually plays comic relief in movies like the Mummy and Deep Rising, comes out of nowhere to give a great, quiet performance, too. The end of the movie is really strange and the plot, what little there is of it, meanders at times, but that just goes with the territory with a movie like this.
I have to admit that when it comes to ambiguous, challenging, uncompromising, violent movies set in the desert with a psychopathic antihero for a protagonist and a weird ending, I actually preferred No Country For Old Men to There Will Be Blood, but they're neck and neck for the best movie I've seen this year (with, oddly enough, Ratatouille coming in third. :p). It's not the easiest movie to sit through, but I'm goddamn glad I went to see it.

I liked the premise of the story more then the actual story. Cage was Cage, Beil was Beil, and Julianne Moore was too much of a bad-ass to be believable or take too seriously. Seems as though the movie was thrown together too quickly without much thought going into story. Seems as though they focussed on all the CGI a bit too much. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this one unless you have absolutely nothing else to watch.

For some reason I was really looking forward to this one. Even with my higher then probably warranted expectations, the movie held up. Great story and Costner played his character pretty damn good. The supporting cast was nothing to get excited about though, but expected as they're mostly filler. Without going into any deets, the multiple story lines were melded very well. Overall, a good suspense movie I would recommend.

That movie did suck one giant hard cock. The fact that the big final showdown between Optimius Prime and Megatron isn't even fucking shown, but happens off-screen while soldiers are fighting some other Decepticon, was complete and utter horseshit. Beyond that, the retarded plot, the non-existent character development of the ridiculously over-large cast, the non-stop noise, the fucking stripper lights shining in the camera in every goddamn night scene, the fact that none of the Transformers were remotely fun or scary, all the slo-mo shots for absolutely no reason, the Secretary of Defense using a shotgun, John Turturro's cartoonish performance that belonged in a spoof of an action movie not an action movie itself, and all the inconsistencies and loose ends (I'm still waiting to hear what happened to the kid's parents or to the Decepticons that didn't get accounted for in the last big battle), all made for one seriously shitty, migrane-inducing nightmare of a movie.
And yeah, Megan Fox is hot as it's possible for women to be, but she really can't act and needs to just get naked in Playboy before she disappears completely. I do have to say I really liked Shia LaBeouf in it, but otherwise, it was absolute shit.
BTW, who's the fucking turd with Megan in those pics? While watching the movie, I never believed for a second that a dopey loser like Shia could win her over, but I guess I'll have to change my opinion if that douchebag is her man..

Well Megan's got her hand on his ass in the second pic, so I'm assuming that's her fella, and he gets more and more douchebaggish every time I look at him. That's got to be the most jarring Hot-Woman-to-Dorky-Guy ratio of any couple I've ever seen. As for Megan, I think she was one of the daughters on 6 Simple Rules, that sitcom John Ritter starred in when he died. The biggest problem I had with her in Transformers was that she was supposed to be in 11th grade. Now I know girls in SoCal are hotter and more "mature" than girls most everywhere else, but come the fuck on--between her body and her face, there's no way she can pass for anything under 22 in my book. As Richard Roeper said in his review, "She's supposed to be in high school. How's that for a special effect?" :D

I just watched Ghost Rider tonight, and while it certainly wasn't anything great, it was actually a bit better than I was expecting (then again, I was expecting garbage and only got it from NetFlix because I just really got into Ghost Rider while playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance). I can't say I cared for Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze and I didn't much like how he basically played Blaze as an Elvis impersonator (and I'm not a Nic Cage hater by any means--I like him in his non-commercial quirky stuff), but I really dug him once he transformed into Ghost Rider. The effects, with the chains, flaming bike, skull and everything were freaking sweet. I also actually liked Peter Fonda as Satan, I always like Donal Logue in everything he's in and wish his character was around more, and, of course, I loved Eva Mendes (how could I not love that piece of ass?). On the other hand, Wes Bentley was waaaaay to wimpy and effeminate as Blackheart--he wasn't scary or intimidating for a second--and his henchmen were lame in the extreme. I also didn't like the way they gave Blaze those retarded little quirks--listening to the Carpenters, eating jelly beans out of a martini glass, watching monkeys on tv--but those were only around at the beginning and got dropped once the story got going. The plot wasn't anything special--they never really explained why the contract Blackheart was after was so important, and the age difference between Eva and Cage bugged me--at the beginning they're both 17, and then it flashes forward a bunch of years and she's about 30 and he's about 40. I also think the character of Johnny Blaze is much better suited for the 1970s, when he was created and when it was believable that an Evel Knieval-style motorcycle stunt man could be a huge celebrity. Since they updated it to today, they probably should have made him some X-Games competitor or something. Anyway, it was nothing spectacular, I'm glad I didn't pay to see it at the theater, and I'll probably never watch it again, but it wasn't bad for a night of brainless entertainment.

Gotta disagree with ya on that one 2. I thought this movie was done ALLLLLL wrong. This shoulda been a dark dark dark property what with selling your soul to the Devil and the Satan stuff and they really lightened it up (SW Episode 1 style) for families. Shouldn't even really be considered superhero fare, shoulda been more along the lines of a horror movie. As you can tell I was really disappointed. 1/10

Well I appreciate your candor and opinion, DL, but I just have to say that you're WRONG!!!!!!!! :na:
Actually, I have no real investment in Ghost Rider--I never really read his comics or anything--so I wasn't worried about the movie doing the character justice and don't know if a darker, horror approach would be more in line with the comics. As you say, though, I'm sure it wouldn't have gone over with the studio, which wants maximum asses in seats. Superhero movies are big these days and they probably thought making Ghost Rider too dark or horror-ish would confuse the audience or scare off kids. It was also obviously one of those second-tier superhero movie, a la Daredevil and the Punisher, both in terms of character recognizability and budget, and wasn't on the level of the Spider-man, Batman, or X-Men movies, so they weren't concerned with art or quality and just wanted something that would make a bunch of money. And if nothing else, you agree with me on Eva being hot, right? :D
And former star of a shitty, preachy, moralizing family tv drama or not, that kid with Megan is even more of a fucking douchbag today than when I saw him yesterday. Hell, if she's going to fuck anybody from that show, why not Jessica Biel? Okay, now that I have an image in my head of Megan and Jessica having wild, passionate, sweaty lesbian sex, I'm gonna have to go pass out somewhere. :theblush:

I was really, really, really hoping this would've been better then it turned out to be. I'll blame the producer and his team for this foul-up. Take a good story and redo it supposedly to go into more character this time around and it should've been better then the original. I think Bale did a good job, but Crowe just didn't seem into the role for whatever reason. It was a good enough flick I guess; at least better then the last few I've seen lately.

Synopsis: Several years after the end of the war in Bosnia, three American journalists set out to locate and interview the Fox, the world's most wanted war criminal who directed thousands of murders of Bosnian Muslims. Things get complicated when one of the journalists decides to capture him for the $5 million reward (and for his own personal reasons).
I really liked this movie a lot. It's pretty funny in a dark and absurdist kind of way as it points out the horror of war and the idiocy of the U.N.'s mandate in Serbia (war criminals were listed in the phone book, but the U.N., while "aggressively pursuing" war criminals, wasn't actually arresting them). It also gets pretty intense at times, but it's not exactly a thriller or an action movie. I'm not a big Richard Gere fan, but he's very solid as the burned out lead reporter, and the great Terrence Howard (from Cleveland!) continues his hot streak as Gere's cameraman and voice of reason. There's also some really funny scenes with a NATO officer who is convinced that the trio are a CIA hit squad who've come to take out the war criminal, and he does everything he can to help them, even though they keep telling him they're journalists. The whole thing is actually based on a true story, and the real journalists briefly appear in the movie. It was written and directed by the guy who made the Matador a couple years back, and while it's a similar movie in tone, I think it's a better and more entertaining film.

Land of the Dead (2005)
It's definitely not the George Romero's "Ultimate Zombie Masterpiece" that the poster claims--it pales in comparison to his first two zombie flicks, but I thought it was a big improvement over Day of the Dead and was pretty entertaining. Like most zombie movies these days, it's all about action and gore, not horror, and the only real scares are of the quick zombie-leaping-out-and-taking-a-big-bite-out-of-somebody kind. The class warfare plot is laid on kind of thick, and I didn't like how getting bitten by a zombie automatically infects you and turns you into one, since that didn't happen in the earlier Romero movies and seemed to be something this one picked up from 28 Days Later. However, there's a decent amount of action and loads of gruesome kills as people get torn apart and eaten by the zombie army, and the plot, while simple, is a lot better than the fucking idiocy heaped on us in 28 Weeks Later--at least this one doesn't completely fall apart the second you put any thought at all into what happens. I do have to say that Dennis Hopper, while a hoot ("zombies, they creep me out, man") didn't get enough scenes to really have any character development as a scumbag villain, but Simon Baker & Asia Argento were fine as the heroes and John Leguizamo is probably the most interesting character in the movie. It's nothing special--it sure as hell isn't in the class of 28 Days Later, and probably isn't quite as good as the Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake, either--but it was a decent turn-of-the-brain action flick.

P.S. as a Clevelander, I just have to say that no more fitting fate could befall Pittsburgh than being overrun by hordes of ravenous, flesh-eating zombies. Just thinking about all those Steeler fans being torn to pieces makes me happy inside. :p

It was ok... better then a few I've seen lately. KB played his part well enough, and even John Goodman. Everyone else tried to be too bad-ass to be believable though. I mean, here we had like several little wannabe ganstas with painted on tats and a trifle of facial hair trying to portray these menacing killers or whatever, walking around in leather. However the movie did not turn out as I expected, which is why I liked it. I'd say it's worth a rental for sure.

Was really interested in this to see Kate of course - she's hot. Was totally surprised that Luke Wilson did a decent job in a non-comedy role. I think he had like one funny line in the whole thing. It wasn't a great movie, but it did keep you interested enough to see what happened next. Good enough to suggest a rental if you're into the suspense-type of thing. Not really scary at all though which kind of sucked though.

I was really hoping for this one to be good. it was ok, but SJ's role was too small/short and everything thing else seemed rushed to me. I think when you have a story involving a haunting and it's "history", you should develop more of that history in the movie. I like Cusack and was hoping for more from him in this one. I really liked Identity and Runaway Jury... everything he did after that kinda sucked dirty asshole IMO. I thought this might bring him 'back' at least a little bit, but I guess not. Still, though, it did keep me interested through the whole thing which is a rare in and of itself lately with movies. I just think they could've really hit the ball outta the park with this one with a little more story.

Earth is dying because the Sun is cooling off. While humans freeze in a perpetual winter, seven gallant astronauts fly to the sun to reignite it with a gigantic nuclear bomb....and then everything goes terribly wrong.
I liked this film. It was pretty unconventional...a great adventure, but without hostile aliens, killer robots, huge explosions (aside from the city-sized nuke, of course), car chases, gun battles, or even naked women.:013:
The FX were breathtaking. Many shots of the enormous Icarus 2 spacecraft hurtling sunward, blasted by solar radiation while silhouetted against a sea of black. Spacewalks in incredibly harsh conditions.

The science was much better in this film than most others. Tech-heads gave it high marks for accuracy, or at east plausibility.
It had a good story overall, with interesting plot twists. The characters were portrayed like ordinary people stuck in extraordinary circumstances.

I put this right up there alongside No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood (which it really reminded me of) as one of the best movies of the year. It's long (2 1/2 hours), slow moving, and artsy, but it's also incredibly beautiful, has a great sense of time, place and mood, and has some excellent performances by its three leads, Casey Affleck, Brad Pitt, and Sam Rockwell. It's definitely not a crowd pleaser and doesn't have any action or shootouts, but if you're willing to be patient and into a psychological character study, it's really worth investing the time in.

Holy shit, does this movie suck donkey dick. It does have pretty good CGI and a cool battle scene between the US Army and a bunch of dinosaurs in downtown L.A. that's a lot better than the final battle in Transformers. but the movie itself has a million holes in it, the acting's horrible, and the plot makes no fucking sense. In fact, plot-wise, it's not that much better than one of those horrible Made for the Sci Fi channel. Most of the time, it consists of the two bland-as-hell heroes going some place, being attacked by this giant serpent, jumping into a car and driving away as it slithers down the street after them, then going to some other place and thinking they're safe until the serpent shows up again and they run away again. I think that actually happens in 4 or 5 consecutive sequences. Add in that the final battle appears to be fought in Mordor, right outside Sauron's Dark Tower, and is also apparently somewhere in Southern California, since the rest of the movie takes place in L.A., and you've got one hell of a shitty movie. I'm just damn glad I got it from NetFlix and it didn't cost me anything. Avoid this steaming pile of pig shit like the plague. Well just don't say I didn't warn you, Durcam. On the other hand, if you watch it drunk or high, it'll totally fall into the so-bad-it's-good category. Now that I'm over my anger at spending 90 minutes watching that piece of shit, I can see myself throwing back a few beers and laughing my ass off at scenes like when the hero and the girl he's trying to protect leave his best friend (a black guy, of course), laying in the middle of the street while they run from the villain and then, several hours later, when she asks "what about Bruce?" he just says "Oh, I'm sure he's alright" even though they left the guy at the feet of some Sauron knockoff who deflects bullets, smashes cars, and has a magic sword that appears out of thin air.
I think part of the reason it seemed so horrible to me is that it was made in Korea and has all the markings of one of those Asian sci fi/action epics that make utterly no sense (like Zu Warriors or Seven Swords) but because it's in English and has American actors, you're expecting it to be like an American movie, with an intelligible plot. I'm not saying that American movies are better than Asian movies, but I think American audiences expect more logic in their movies while Asian audiences seem to be willing to accept shit that makes no sense as long as there's lots of action and effects. What boggles my mind, though, is that this fucking piece of shit cost $75 million to make. I guess all the CGI cost $74 million, because the cast sure didn't account for much of that budget. The main character is the kid from Roswell, and he sure doesn't command a $20 million salary.

Sometimes you just need to 'veg out' and escape a little , know what I mean ? Thx again.......

A+ ... It's only because I'm not a big fan of watching television that I missed this great series. We're on the last disc of the first season, and I don't think that I've seen a bad episode yet. Maybe they're not all that great, but it's a really good show to watch. I'm not sure how many seasons there are of this thing, but I'll assume at least 3 or 4 since it's still going strong. As my trial ends tomorrow, I'll definitely have to sign up for a few more to get the following series. Though I am getting kind of burnt out on movie watching, so I might take a break. Next up is Resident Evil 3 or Superbad. We got them both in the mail but haven't put them in yet.

You'd think they would've put a little more effort into this thing. I found this recorded on my TiVo last night so we stayed up late and watched it. Wasn't expecting much, but c'mon already. It's like they have the cookie-cutter new-era television drama play book and their following it page by page. Lame acting, no story, too little background, lame bad guys, Val Kilmer!?!?! as KITT, and some totally unbelievable ex-army wannabe bad-ass or whatever as Mike. The car was cool enough seeing as how nobody has any imagination anymore anyways. I hope this doesn't turn into a series, 'cause it just sucked ass IMO.

Synopsis: On a team building weekend in Eastern Europe, the mostly-British marketing department of a weapons manufacturing company finds itself stranded in the wilderness and hunted by a band of blood-thirsty killers.
This movie was advertised as a horror-comedy, and while it has some laughs (especially early on), the horror quotient is much higher than the comedy. I was expecting a Shaun of the Dead-style spoof, but instead this is basically a slasher movie with laughs. As a horror movie, it's nothing spectacular, but pretty solid. It's not nearly as gory as I thought it would be--several of the kills occur either off-screen or are of the engulfed-in-a-ball-of-fire variety, and I really wouldn't call this torture porn. That having been said, if definitely has its disturbing, gruesome, and creative moments. Danny Dyer is very funny as the department stoner (him trying to jam somebody's severed leg into a mini-fridge to keep it fresh is a riot), and the super-hot Laura Harris is very believable and appealing as the most level-headed and heroic of the bunch. It's frankly kind of annoying that you never get to find out the killers' motivation--they seem to be targeting these people specifically because they work for in the weapons industry but that's not fully explained. Nevertheless, while Severance is hardly a classic, it does deliver scares and jokes, so if you're in the mood for some mayhem, butchering, and laughs, I'd say check it out.

Plot: For reasons that are way to complicated for me to even bother trying to explain (if I even understood them, which I don't), a bunch of hitmen are trying to kill a coke head Las Vegas magician who's actually a mob boss who is holed up in the penthouse of a Lake Tahoe casino and a couple of FBI agents are trying to stop it in order to get him into the witness protection program.
This movie just flat-out sucks donkey balls. It's the epitome of "all style, no substance." It tries DESPERATELY to be a combination of Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, & Guy Ritchie, and fails on all fucking counts. What really pissed me off is that it's supposed to be a high-octane action movie, but THERE"S NO FUCKING ACTION! This movie is mostly a collection of ultra-stylized scenes of "crazy" "warped" "psycho" (and completely retarded) hitmen arriving at a hotel (and arriving, and arriving), and then going up in elevators (and going up, and going up). It's all build up and virtually no pay off. In almost two hours of screen time, I'd honestly guess that there were 3-4 minutes of action in a grand total of 2 action sequences. The rest is just scenes of people coming and going, but its all done with shaky cameras and jump cuts and "crazy" effects to distract you from the fact that nothing's happening. And the problem isn't that I watched this expecting an action movie and got something else intead--this IS an action movie but NOTHING HAPPENS. I felt like yelling "when the hell is this actually going to start?" at my tv. And yet, despite absolutely nothing happening, the plot is so fucking convoluted, Andy Garcia has to give a five minute speech at the end of it just to explain everything and to tie it all together. What's sad is that the cast is excellent--Ryan Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Andy Garcia, Peter Berg, & Ben Affleck. Hell, it's even got Booger from Revenge of the Nerds and Alicia Keyes (who better keep trying to sing because she ain't gonna make it as an actress). Jason Bateman, who has a cameo as a coked-out, pervert lawyer, is the only remotely entertaining thing in the entire film, but then again, he's so goddamn good he could read the Yellow Pages and it would be funny. The rest of the movie is a disaster and I want the 109 minutes of my life back that I wasted watching it.
2/10 (and 1 of those is for Jason Bateman for being willing to wear women's undies in a movie this bad)

Synopsis: Two years after his wife's death, a Washington Post reporter mysteriously finds himself in a small West Virginia town, where he investigates repeated sightings of a paranormal creature that seems to be prophesying death.
I have to say I was really surprised how scary this movie was. I know it's supposedly based on fact, and that the "facts" are pretty much nonsense to begin with, and then they made the movie even more outlandish, and if I stepped back from it, I'd realize how silly it is and how they didn't really explain what the Mothman was or what was happening. All that having been said, it really got under my skin in a verrrrry creepy way. Richard Gere is really good, particularly since a lot of the time he's just reacting to eerie phone calls in the middle of the night or other strange goings on, and I liked that he and Laura Linney, the other lead, took this stuff seriously. You never actually see the Mothman (hope that doesn't spoil it for anybody), and mostly you just get lots of sound effects and some camera shots that are tinted red, but it's all really unsettling. Yes, it leaves more questions than answers, and yes its all kind of silly it the light of day, but I liked it because it was a grown up horror movie that aimed to frighten rather than just gross out its audience with gore and torture, and this thing honestly had me scared like few movies in recent memory.

Here's a quick graded rundown of the one's I finally watched... I'd score B and above only if I'd want to watch the movie again at some point in my life.
C - Shoot 'Em Up
Some excellent shoot 'em up scenes, but that's about it.
F - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I only got this because I caught the first movie on the tele and Alba is hot.
D - The Happening
I was hoping for more with this one. The idea was good, but it just didn't do anything for me.
D - Run, Fat Boy, Run
I think this guy is hit or miss with me. This movie just didn't raise my flag at all. Some funny moments saved if from FAIL.
D - 88 Minutes
Too predictable and stoopid to enjoy.
B - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Better then what I heard, but the guy is freakin' OLD already. Could have been better with more "treasure" hunting type sequences IMO.
F - The Promotion
FAIL on just all counts. Don't waste your time with this one. NOT FUNNY AT ALL.
B - Iron Man
Not as good as I heard, but pretty good for a comic movie. I have the new HULK one downstairs.
D - You Don't Mess With the Zohan
The opening sequence was a freakin' riot, and then it just went from bad to worse. The opening sequence saved this movie from ultimate FAIL.

C
I have no idea why I never saw this before, but I finally rented it and stayed up late watching it. The only reason I didn't grade it higher is because of the length of this film; I doubt myself watching it ever again.

Was finally able to watch some of these this past month so I'll just add grades. Nothing really stood out as an exceptional movie.
This is what's sitting in my queue...
Get Smart [WS] - F (I actually fell asleep!)
Doomsday [Unrated] [WS] - D (The chick was HOT, but that's about it.)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall [WS] [Unrated] - F (as in FAIL)
The Comebacks [Unrated] - F (as in FAIL - but the chick was HOT)
Hell Ride [WS] - C (If you remember those old biker movies from like 30 years ago, you'll love this!)
Kung Fu Panda [WS] - F (as in FAIL)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars [WS] - F (as in FAIL; I fell asleep!)
Inside Man [WS] - C (Forgot that I has already seen this a long time ago.)
<s>Street Kings</s> - Never got around to watching it.
War [WS] - D (Some good action I guess, but it had that alien chick in it.)
Journey to the Center of Earth 2D and 3D [WS] - F (as in FAIL)

i've also seen Get Smart, Forgetting Sarah Marshall (bet you regretted gettin the unrated version like me hey T), Star Wars, Street Kings, War and Journey to the center of Earth = all of them were a waste of my time (lucky i was watching while browsing the net or watching porn on the laptop, if i had given my full attention i woulda been extremely pissed off at the time i wasted)

As the title says, I'd like to know which movie you've most recently seen. Feel free to add your oppinion of the movie too of course :)

1. Star Trek (pretty good)
2. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (kicked ass)
3. Knowing
4. Fast and Furious
5. Watchmen (also kicked ass)
6. The Spirit
7. Australia
8. Babylon A.D. (not too happy with this one)
9. Step Brothers
10. Wall-E (should have gotten Best Picture, but I digress)

The most recent was Terminator: Salvation. It was interesting, actually getting to see all the things that are mentioned in the other films and how the future keeps changing from the Terminators going back in time. Even though it was Christian Bale you primarily see in the previews, he seemed to be more of a second lead instead.

Funny People had some really hilarious bits and a great central performance by Adam Sandler. Josh Rogen is a one trick pony, but it's not a bad trick. Didn't stop me from seeing Josh and Mirir make A Porno, which was quite good. One of Kevin Smith's best IMO. Also saw I Love You Man recently, where Jason Segel shows more range than Rogen ever could. Couldn't make it through Wolverine. Shame they've botched that franchise since Singer left.

It's a Coen Brothers movie. Like every other Coen Brothers movies I've ever seen, it's interesting and often amusing. But, generally, I tend to find myself not understanding what it was all about and just enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Infernal Affairs, which the Departed was based on. I enjoyed it better than the American version. Not because it existed first, but I felt the film had a better antagonist (Andy Lau's than Matt Damon's). Don't get me wrong, I love The Departed, but Infernal Affairs suited me more.

Been a Marvel and Avengers fan for 40+ years and this and the first Iron Man lead the pack of Marvel-ous inspired comic book films IMO. With Daredevil and the first Ghost Rider floating at the bottom of a cesspool of under achieved script ideas. Hell, Howard the Duck was even better than either of those [which could tell just how fowl I thought those two were]. No idea where Elektra would fall though as after sitting through Daredevil just couldn't bring myself to watch it.

I couldn't agree with you more! I just happen to watch Green Lantern last night and it sucked IMO. I don't know what they could've done to make it better, but I just felt as though I wasted a couple hours of my life on that one... and I actually like Ryan Reynolds. When he's allowed to do his witty comical stuff, he's on par! His other movie Buried I couldn't even sit through so I can't comment on that one.

Just watched Rio. Pretty good. I'd say it's a 7/10. Definitely not up there with Pixar, story wise, but it had it's moments.

I would say it's 8.5/10. Good action, cute girls, and of course, JET LI!

I saw Cowboys vs Aliens in the theatre and it was terrible!
I just watched Mystic River last night on my Netflix and I thought it was interesting, but a little strange how it ended.

Crazy Stupid Love 9/10. The ending wasn't bad at all and the climax was well done.

The Dark Knight 10/10. The best action movie I've ever seen. To me, there is only one thing I would change about that movie, Harvey Dent shouldn't have died in the end. I'm sure it's connected to the final movie but I hate it when the villains are killed off in movies. Outside of that, awesome.

"In Time". In the beginning it had to offer but towards the end slowly lost the feeling. The "solution" at the end was so very meaningless, blaah. 7 points still, my favorite genre.
