This should be an interesting, if not short match=up.
Plain and simple, Kimbo Slice sells tickets. Real name Kevin Ferguson, Slice was the main attraction in June for Cage Fury Fighting Championship (CFFC) 5 when he submitted former boxing champion “Merciless” Ray Mercer in a little over a minute. Four months later, Slice will once again be part of the main event when he takes on UFC and Pride veteran David “Tank” Abbott at CFFC 6: “Heavy Hands” on Friday, October 12, 2007 from the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Abbott watched Slice dismantle Mercer and challenged the slugger to a future fight. The brain trust of CFFC owner Felix Martinez and matchmaker Gary Marino made it all happen and t hese two will do battle in a much anticipated showdown. This event will also showcase recent prominent signings by the CFFC including a heavyweight match-up between mma veterans Marcio “Pe De Pano” Cruz and Branden Lee Hinkle, as well as the “Big Dog”, Ricardo Almeida’s return to the cage to face the “Superman” Dennis Hallman in a middleweight bout. Two titles are also scheduled to be up for grabs that night when CFFC Lightweight Champion, Jim Miller, takes on UFC and Pride veteran Chris Brennan and Devidas Taurosevicius defends his NABC Lightweight Title against Chris Ligouri from the Rhino Fight Team. Here is how the card is shaping up:
