No they did not. I have not watched it yet, but I am certain they abuse the many glitches in the game so you do not even have to make it to 70 stars.

In fact, this run is a tool-assisted run. They abused save-states and used emulator slow-down to make it look this good. If you want to see real runs of this game, check this out http://speeddemosarchive.com/Mario64.html.

I have nothing against tool-assisted runs: they are incredibly fun to watch. It just needs to be stated that it isn't a real run though.

That was a sweet ass game. That ranks up there with the best Mario games of all time (SMB1, SMB3, SMB64).
