Both franchises are great in their own genres and worth binge watching on weekends..

They both are their ups and downs. I think star trek is more realistic in the sense of how they approach their fantasy, whereas star wars has more fantasy flare to it with all of its races, weaponry, etc. I prefer star wars.

Star Wars for sure

If we are talking about the original trilogy Star Wars to me is far and away the best of the two. I just could never get into the whole Star Trek series or movies. Granted the trilogies after the original haven’t been kind to Star Wars. Episode 1 and 2 were horrible, episode three wasn’t too bad before transitioning to the original with new hope. The recent ones by Disney have been awful all except Rogue One. Besides all those bad movies I still think the acting was better, the storylines were better than Star Trek is/was. So Star Wars is what I think is better of the two

Star Trek was typically more subdued and Star Wars was an assault on the senses with inter weaved plot lines. That should tell the score right there. Star Trek then made a motion picture to play catch up with Star wars and has been doing so ever since despite having its own identity.
